Bored of Chavez trivia and cricketing lore?

Don't e mail me and whinge, go and visit Len Richards' new blog, newsoc.
Len's a Phd student in the Auckland University sociology department and an inveterate parliamentary candidate for the Alliance Party. His first post shines a light on the shameful post-election job losses at Air New Zealand....

Update: the Engineers' union has issued an open letter to unionists about the lay-offs at Air NZ. You can read it here.

Wow! With the flags can I get a video of that US soldier singing -with bulging excited eyes - Burn mother fukka burn/We dont need no water..!! etc?
And lovely shots of the US shooting women children and men (mind you they aren't important men women and children so maybe that wont be so exhilerating ) as they try to escape across the river from Falujah?

- I would also like a "Do it Yourself all-American Napalm Kit" -as it was used a lot in that wonderful and heroic Battle of Falujah - I believe it keeps burning until it burns a persons bones! (Its ok I'll try it out on the local dog first I wont hurt anyone there aren't any wogs where I am) - and the US army say it has "great psychological impact" -wow!! What a really lovely country the US must be -what with burning and Bushes and napalm and so on...

(PS have you got anything about the Vietnam war - I am especially interested in the My Lai Massacre -I always thought that incident was so awfully jolly)

Love

John Peters
